About Orange Polygon
I’m John Gulliver, and I founded Orange Polygon in Hertfordshire, UK, in 2025.
My journey in music began back in 1995, playing in bands and later touring with several of them. Along the way, I’ve played piano and Hammond organ on recordings for other artists. I’ve also developed a long-standing fascination with vintage synthesisers and keyboards, which led to building my own production studio and collecting instruments along the way.
Over the years I’ve recorded and produced my own music, released an album, and worked on mixing and remixing projects for other artists. Through that work I became increasingly interested in mastering — the final stage where careful decisions about balance, dynamics and presentation can bring a finished mix together.
That interest eventually became the focus of my work and led me to establish Orange Polygon as a dedicated mastering service.
My background as a musician, producer and mix engineer still influences the way I approach mastering today. I understand what it’s like to be on the other side of the process, handing over music you’ve spent a great deal of time creating. That’s one of the reasons communication and understanding what you’re trying to achieve are such an important part of the service.
